Idelfonso Tafur Monroy

Idelfonso Tafur Monroy is a Professor at the Electrical Engineering department of Eindhoven University of Technology, specializing in photonic terahertz systems. He leads the Terahertz Photonic Systems group and is affiliated with the Center for Quantum Materials and Technology Eindhoven, Center for Terahertz Science and Technology Eindhoven, and Quantum & Terahertz Systems.

He previously worked at DTU Fotonik (Denmark), Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, UC Berkeley, and ITMO University as visiting professor. His academic journey includes MSc from Saint Petersburg University of Telecommunications (1992) and PhD from TU/e (1999).
