معرفی
Ida Lykke Kristiansen is a Postdoctoral Researcher at CEBI (Center for Economic Behavior and Inequality) within the Department of Economics at the University of Copenhagen's Faculty of Social Sciences. Her work focuses on understanding the complex interplay between health economics, family dynamics, and socioeconomic factors.
Her research interests span health economics, family economics, child development, inequality, and applied microeconometrics. Specifically, she investigates early childhood influences, social inequality in health, gender differences in health and health behavior, and patients' interactions with primary healthcare systems. Her methodological expertise lies in applied microeconometrics, using natural experiments and large administrative datasets to identify causal relationships.
Analysis of her recent publications reveals a consistent focus on how family structure, health events, and public policies affect child development and long-term outcomes. Her work demonstrates particular attention to socioeconomic gradients in health and education, with several studies examining how interventions like parental leave policies can mitigate inequalities. She frequently collaborates with researchers across institutions, particularly on projects related to health economics and child development.
During her academic career, Kristiansen has taught as a Lecturer in Econometrics (Spring 2019) and served as an Academic Support Teacher. She completed her PhD under supervisors Torben Heien Nielsen and Søren Leth-Petersen, and in Spring 2020 visited the Center for Health and Wellbeing at Princeton University. Her research has received significant attention, with media coverage from major Danish outlets including Radio4 Morgen, Weekendavisen, and TV2.
