Ibrahim Said

Ibrahim Said is an Adjunct Professor of Clinical Epidemiology in Medicine (Courtesy) at Weill Cornell Medical College since 2021. He holds dual degrees in Medicine (MD, 1993) and Public Health (MPH, 1999), with an MBA from MIT (2016), focusing on health services research.

His research explores racial/ethnic disparities in healthcare outcomes, particularly in joint replacement surgeries, cancer treatment costs, and Veteran health services. He examines socioeconomic determinants, bundled payment models, and technology's role in health equity.

Recent publications analyze equity in VA community care, transnational THA utilization, and disparities in liver cancer treatment. He investigates social vulnerability in chronic disease management and healthcare innovation's impact on marginalized populations.

Grants include NIMH-funded co-investigator roles (2020-2025) studying suicide risks in chronic pain patients using VA and non-VA datasets. His work appears in JAMA Health Forum, Arthritis Care & Research, and Scientific Reports.
