Ibrahim Khalaylih

Ibrahim Khalaylih is a full-time Lecturer in the Department of Modern Languages & Classics at the University of Alabama. He earned his BA and MA in Geography at the University of Jordan and a master’s degree in Teaching Arabic as a Foreign Language (TAFL) from the University of Michigan in 2023.

His research and teaching focus on:

• Connecting cultures through Arabic language education
• Promoting social justice and inclusion for marginalized communities
• Modern Arab cultural studies
• Inclusive pedagogy practices

He previously worked at Drake University, where he completed coursework toward his Ph.D. in Education, emphasizing TAFL methodologies and cross-cultural understanding.
