Ibrahim Al-Marashi is an Associate Professor of Middle East History at California State University San Marcos, with additional visiting professorship at IE University School of Global and Public Affairs in Madrid. His scholarship bridges historical analysis with contemporary biosecurity, climate change, and geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.
- Doctorate from University of Oxford (Iraqi invasion of Kuwait thesis)
- Co-authored three major historical texts: A Concise History of the Middle East (2018), The Modern History of Iraq (2017), and Iraq’s Armed Forces: An Analytical History (2008)
