Ibrahim Abou-Haidar serves as a Course Lecturer at McGill University while maintaining his professional role as Director, Senior Commercial Markets at RBC Royal Bank. He is also an active board member of the West Island Chamber of Commerce and frequently contributes as an Online course development author.
His academic focus centers on Risk Management and Insurance, Risk Financing, and Strategic Planning and implementation. He has been invited as a Guest speaker at HEC Montreal and various chambers of commerce and embassies across Atlantic Canada, Ontario, and Quebec on subjects related to International Trade, Trade agreements, and Risk Management.
Professionally, he holds a bachelor's degree and an MBA with an emphasis on Management and finance, along with Moody's financial analyst certification, risk management courses from McGill University, and the Canadian Risk Management (CRM) professional designation. With a commercial banking career starting in 1999, he has extensive experience advising businesses in Canada and internationally.
