He has advised federal agencies including the U.S. Department of Energy, EPA, and NSF, and contributed to major assessments like the IPCC AR5 and U.S. National Climate Assessment.
- Education: Ph.D., Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2001)
His interdisciplinary work links CGE models with climate impact econometrics and engineering simulations to assess energy systems, agro-ecosystems, and disaster resilience. Recent grants include support from the California Energy Commission and DOE Office of Science.
Teaching responsibilities include courses on environmental policy analysis (EE 545), resource economics (EE 460/660), and US environmental policy frameworks (EE 528). He maintains an active advisory role in federal climate research initiatives.
