Ian M. Shapiro is a Professor of Practice at Syracuse University, associated with the Syracuse Center of Excellence in Environmental and Energy Systems. Shapiro has contributed to heat pump innovation at Carrier Corporation, authored foundational heat pump theory, and holds multiple patents in HVAC technology.
