Ian Elders

Dr. Ian Elders is a Senior Research Fellow in the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering at the University of Strathclyde, part of the Faculty of Engineering. His research focuses on smart grids, distribution networks, and the integration of low-carbon technologies such as electric vehicles and heat pumps.

His work emphasizes geospatial modeling, network impact assessment, and the socio-technical dimensions of energy system transformation. Key research themes include:
