Ian Leistikow

Prof. Dr. Ian Leistikow serves as an Endowed Professor of Health Care Governance at the Erasmus School of Health Policy & Management, Erasmus University Rotterdam. His academic position is uniquely financed by the Dutch Health & Youth Care Inspectorate (IGJ), which operates under the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sports of the Netherlands.

Professor Leistikow maintains a dual professional role as an Inspector at the Dutch Health & Youth Care Inspectorate while holding his academic appointment. He also contributes his expertise as a member of the Strategic Advisory Board for the BMJ/IHI International Forum on Quality and Safety in Healthcare, demonstrating his national and international influence in healthcare systems improvement.

His research focuses on the critical intersection of healthcare policy, governance structures, and quality assurance mechanisms.
