Ian Greitzer is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Music, Theatre and Dance at Rhode Island College. He is a Principal Clarinetist of the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra, Rhode Island Philharmonic, and Boston Classical Orchestra, with additional performance affiliations including the Boston Symphony and Boston Modern Orchestra Project.
As a contemporary music specialist, he is a member of ensembles such as Boston Musica Viva, Dinosaur Annex Music Ensemble, and Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra of Boston. He has performed at prestigious festivals including Tanglewood, Ravinia, and Edinburgh, and in notable venues like Carnegie Recital Hall and the Library of Congress.

His performance engagements include collaborations with string quartets (Blair, Manhattan, Lydian, Vermeer) and wind ensembles (Zephyr Wind Quintet, New England Woodwind Quintet). He has recorded for major labels such as Philips and Koch International.
