Ian Gotlib

Ian Gotlib is the Marjorie Mhoon Fair Professor and Director of the Stanford Neurodevelopment, Affect, and Psychopathology (SNAP) Laboratory at Stanford University. He previously served as Senior Associate Dean for the Social Sciences (2005-2010) and Chair of the Psychology Department (2012-2018).

• Research Focus: Psychobiological factors in depression and suicidal behaviors, neurodevelopmental effects of early life stress, and protective processes in psychopathology.
• Grants: Funded by NIH, PHIND, National Health Research Development Program, and Medical Research Council of Canada.
• Honors: Fellow of APA, APS, and American Psychopathological Association; Past President of Society for Research in Psychopathology.
• Publications: Over 500 scientific articles and several books, including the Handbook of Depression (3rd edition).
