Ian Foster

Dr. Ian Foster serves as Senior Scientist and Distinguished Fellow at Argonne National Laboratory, directing the Data Science and Learning Division, while holding the Arthur Holly Compton Distinguished Service Professorship in Computer Science at the University of Chicago. His career bridges foundational computing research with transformative scientific applications.
