Dr. Ian Biscoe is a Professor and Head of the Transdisciplinary Design Networks (TDN) at Design Academy Eindhoven. As a transdisciplinary artist, designer, and researcher, his work merges art, science, and technology to address global systemic challenges through innovative frameworks like X Reality networked performance and cognitively enabled environments. He leads the Trans Realities Lab and Hybrid Lab, focusing on spatial collaboration and distributed virtual production.
His educational contributions include directing the 4th-year BA module "Digital Focus: Interactivity, Performativity, Hybridity", which integrates advanced digital research into design education. Biscoe's artistic practice spans performance, installation, and immersive technologies, emphasizing collaborative, multidisciplinary formats blending analogue and digital media.
Recent speaking engagements include keynotes at AWE Vienna (2024), ELIA Milan (2024), and upcoming presentations at FMX Stuttgart (2025) and SURF XR Days (2025), focusing on metaverse collaboration tools and hybrid educational models.
