Professor Iain McEwan is an Interim Director of the Institute of Medical Sciences and holds a Personal Chair at the University of Aberdeen. He specializes in molecular mechanisms of the androgen receptor, focusing on its role in prostate cancer and hormone-dependent diseases. His research integrates structural biology, medicinal chemistry, and translational medicine, with a particular emphasis on developing novel therapies targeting androgen receptor dysfunction.
