Iain Law is a Senior Lecturer in Philosophy at the University of Birmingham, affiliated with the Department of Philosophy under the School of Philosophy, Theology & Religion. He serves as Head of Education for the school and contributes to MA/MSc programmes.

Research Interests span meta-ethics, applied ethics, and ethical theory, with a focus on:
- Moral theory (Kantianism, Utilitarianism, Virtue Ethics)
- Moral psychology and autonomy
- Philosophy of medicine and health
- Wellbeing and happiness
- Sexual ethics and consent
- Cognitive neuroscience intersections
His recent publications address biobanking ethics, health conceptualization via the capability approach, and critiques of pleasure in moral theory. With Lisa Bortolotti and Heather Widdows, he co-founded the Health and Happiness Research Cluster, supervising students on health definitions and policy. Teaching includes Political Philosophy (first year), Virtue Ethics (third year), and skills modules.
