Iain A. MacInnes

Iain A. MacInnes is a Senior Lecturer in Scottish History and Programme Leader at the University of the Highlands and Islands' Centre for History. He holds a PhD from the University of Edinburgh (2008), focusing on Scotland's military conduct during the Second Scottish Wars of Independence (1332–1357). His research spans medieval Scottish political and military history, with expertise in the Second Scottish Wars of Independence, Anglo-Scottish relations, and modern depictions of medieval history in media such as graphic novels and pop culture.
