Iacob Mirela Simona

Lecturer Dr. Mirela Simona Iacob teaches Romanian as a foreign language for international students in the Preparatory Year program at Romanian-American University (RAU) in Bucharest, Romania.

Education:

• 2000: Graduated from Faculty of Letters, University of Bucharest (Romanian-French section)
• 2007: PhD in Philology, University of Bucharest (supervised by Prof. Elena Zaharia Filipaș)

Her research centers on Intercultural Communication and Education Systems, examining cross-cultural dynamics within educational frameworks and institutional structures. This work informs her teaching methodology for non-native speakers.

Dr. Iacob actively contributes to academic discourse through conference presentations, publications in national and international journals, and co-authorship of university textbooks. She has participated in multiple research projects and professional internships across Romania and abroad, enhancing her pedagogical approach through practical field experience.
