IRIS ESTEVEZ BLANCO

Dr. Iris Estévez Blanco is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Pedagogy and Didactics, University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain), affiliated with the Faculty of Education Sciences and the Institute of Education Sciences (ICE). She holds a PhD from the University of A Coruña (UDC) with a thesis on Learning Ecologies in Health Sciences Education, which earned her the Extraordinary Doctoral Award and International Mention. Her research focuses on teacher professional development, learning ecologies, homework dynamics, and educational inclusion, with recent expansions into gender studies and digital privacy. She has conducted international research stays at Kennesaw State University (USA) and the University of Minho (Portugal). Active in multiple research groups like GI_ESCULCA, she collaborates on national and regional projects. Her work emphasizes interdisciplinary approaches to education in digital societies.
