Prof. Dr. İbrahim Özdemir is a distinguished academic at Bingöl University's Faculty of Islamic Sciences, Department of Basic Islamic Sciences. He holds a professorship since 2017 after serving as an associate professor (2017) and assistant professor (2014). His academic journey includes degrees from Fırat University (B.A. Theology, 2001), a master's in Arabic Studies (2005), and a PhD in Islamic Jurisprudence (2013). He has extensive experience at the Presidency of Religious Affairs and maintains fluency in Arabic.

Over 20 supervised theses address modern legal challenges in Islamic law and historical text analysis.
Publications span 15+ refereed articles in journals like Bingöl University Journal of Theology Faculty and Islam Hukuku Araştırmaları Dergisi, plus authored books such as Fıkıh Usulünde Ta’lil Tartışmaları. He serves as a referee for major theology journals.
