Héctor E. Alcalá is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Behavioral and Community Health at the University of Maryland’s School of Public Health. His research focuses on health inequities related to race, ethnicity, religion, nativity, and generation; the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) on cancer and healthcare utilization; tobacco product use; and the effects of discrimination on health outcomes.
