Professor Håkan Jerker Holm is affiliated with the Department of Economics at Lund University's School of Economics and Management (LUSEM), where he holds a full professorship. His research focuses on experimental economics and behavioral economics, particularly studying decision-making processes among CEOs in China and the impact of psychological biases on economic behavior. He teaches microeconomics, industrial organization, and experimental economics across undergraduate to PhD levels, having received the 'Best Teacher Award' at LUSEM.
His research explores topics like trust, reciprocity, risk-taking, and generosity in leadership contexts, as well as how cognitive biases influence price estimation. He actively supervises bachelor, master, and PhD students, mentoring them through thesis development. Notable projects include investigations into motor vehicle inspection markets and moral decision-making among leaders.
Recent publications analyze cooperation dynamics in networks, mood effects in car inspections, and anchoring biases in subjective beliefs. He has contributed to initiatives like 'The Art of Supervision' interdisciplinary project and serves as a peer reviewer for journals such as Experimental Economics. His work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals related to economic growth and sustainable industries.
