Hyojung Seo serves as Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine with secondary appointments in the Department of Neuroscience and multiple interdisciplinary programs. Her primary affiliation is with the Department of Psychiatry where she maintains an active research laboratory focused on decision neuroscience. She also holds positions within the Center for Brain & Mind Health, Division of Molecular Psychiatry, Interdepartmental Neuroscience Program, Neuroscience Track, Swartz Program in Theoretical Neurobiology, and Wu Tsai Institute.
Dr. Seo earned her bachelor's and master's degrees in Psychology from Seoul National University before completing her PhD in behavioral neuroscience with research on the neurophysiology of the oculomotor system. She continued her work in decision neuroscience through postdoctoral and associate research scientist positions at Yale University, joining the Department of Psychiatry as an assistant professor in 2016 and advancing to associate professor.
