معرفی
Ralph DiLeone is a Professor of Psychiatry and Neuroscience at Yale School of Medicine, serving as Deputy Director of the Abraham Ribicoff Research Facilities. He holds dual appointments in the Departments of Psychiatry and Neuroscience. His research focuses on neural circuits underlying reward, obesity, and addiction, with translational studies on opioid use disorder. DiLeone earned a BA in Biology-Chemistry from Skidmore College (1992) and a PhD in Developmental Biology from Stanford University (1998).
Research Interests: His lab investigates how metabolic signals interact with brain reward circuits, using optogenetics, viral transgenic techniques, and fiber photometry. Key areas include dopamine pathways in addiction, obesity mechanisms, and ketamine's antidepressant effects mediated by opioid systems. Collaborations span Yale's Neuroscience, Psychiatry, and Pharmacology departments.
Publications & Awards: Recent work includes studies on vitamin D's effects on dopamine, xylazine-fentanyl interactions, and impaired brain nutrient responses in obesity. He received recognition from the Connecticut Academy of Science and Engineering (2015). His lab's translational research addresses clinical challenges in opioid dependency and metabolic disorders.
Labs & Teams: DiLeone directs the DiLeone Lab, part of the Interdepartmental Neuroscience Program and Wu Tsai Institute. He contributes to initiatives like the Stephen & Denise Adams Center for Parkinson’s Disease Research and the Center for the Translational Neuroscience of Alcohol.
