Huy ONG is an Associate Professor and Emeritus Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Université de Montréal. His research focuses on therapeutic target discovery, cardiovascular and metabolic pharmacology, endocrinology, and inflammation, with notable contributions to understanding CD36 receptor modulation in diseases like age-related macular degeneration and atherosclerosis. He has supervised over 30 graduate students, including PhD and Master's candidates, and leads collaborative projects on drug development for ophthalmic and cardiovascular conditions.
Key affiliations include the GRUM (Drug Research Group) and RQRV (Quebec Network on Aging). His work has been supported by grants from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), Heart and Stroke Foundation, and Quebec's Ministry of Economy and Innovation.
