Dr. Hunter Aku is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at the University of Texas at San Antonio’s Alvarez College of Business. She holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Accounting from the University of Oklahoma and a B.A. from Drury University. Previously, she worked as a tax associate at Forvis Mazars and is a licensed CPA in Missouri. Her research focuses on corporate taxation, particularly how tax policies influence real-world corporate decisions such as mergers and acquisitions.
