Humphrey Shi

Dr. Humphrey Shi is an Associate Professor at the School of Interactive Computing at Georgia Tech, affiliated with the Machine Learning Center (ML@GT). He also holds faculty roles at the University of Oregon (Computer Science) and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (Electrical and Computer Engineering), advising additional PhD students. As Chief Scientist at Picsart, he bridges academic research with industry applications, advancing AI tools for global users.

His research focuses on multimodal AI, emphasizing creativity, efficiency, and responsibility in systems like image generation, vision-language models, and ethical AI governance. Key projects include SHI Labs, rooted in values of service, humanity, and innovation, located at CODA in Atlanta.
