Dr. Huihui Zhang is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Atomaterials and Nanomanufacturing (CAN), RMIT University. She holds a PhD from Swinburne University of Technology (2021) and a B.Eng from Wuhan University of Technology (2017). Her research focuses on advanced materials for energy harvesting and storage, particularly graphene-based supercapacitors and functional systems. She has been awarded an ARC Industry Fellowship (IE 2024) to advance her work on flash-enabled graphene technologies. Dr. Zhang is an active member of the School of Science’s IDEA Committee, supporting equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives at RMIT.
Her research projects include developing glucose oxidase hydrogels for electrochemical detection, advanced zinc-ion batteries, and graphene oxide-based smart coatings. Dr. Zhang collaborates on industry projects and supervises research students, emphasizing practical applications of cutting-edge materials science.
Awarded the ARC Industry Fellowship, her work accelerates Australia’s transition to net-zero energy systems through innovative material solutions. Her contributions span academic publications, industry partnerships, and leadership in fostering inclusive research environments.
