Hugues Fulchiron is a Professor at the University Jean Moulin Lyon 3, where he directs the Centre de droit de la famille. He is also an Associated Professor at the University of Luxembourg and has held visiting professorships at the University of Sao Paulo, Laval University, and the University of Vienna. Additionally, he serves as a Senior Member of the Institut universitaire de France (IUF) and President of the International Society of Family Law (ISFL) since 2017.
His research focuses on Family Law, Private International Law, and related areas such as European Family Law, Legal Theory, and Protection of Vulnerable Persons. He has authored and co-edited influential books including La Famille (6th ed., 2018) and Vers un droit européen de la famille (2014), alongside publishing numerous articles on topics like Muslim families, nationality, immigration law, and fundamental rights.
