Hubert Wolf is a Full Professor of Medieval and Modern Church History at the Faculty of Catholic Theology, University of Münster. He is also a member of the Faculty of History and a Principal Investigator in the Cluster of Excellence 'Religion and Politics'. His research focuses on the history of the Roman Inquisition, Vatican archives, the Catholic Church’s engagement with modern totalitarian regimes (e.g., Nazi Germany), and 19th-20th century church history. He has led major projects, including the critical online edition of the diaries of Michael Cardinal Faulhaber and the opening of Vatican archives related to Pius XII.
