California State University, Fresnoمعرفی
Hubert Muchalski is an Associate Professor of Chemistry at the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, California State University, Fresno, part of the College of Science and Mathematics. He holds a B.S./M.S. from Wrocław University of Technology (2006) and a Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University (2012). His research focuses on synthetic organic chemistry, green/sustainable methodologies, and the kinetics of lipid peroxidation. He leads the Muchalski Research Lab, which develops gold-catalyzed reactions for heterocyclic compounds and explores peroxyl radical clock methods using NMR for oxidation studies. Muchalski has published extensively on topics like benzofuran synthesis, specifications-based grading in education, and mechanistic studies of free radical processes. He advises numerous students, including undergraduates and MS candidates, and actively contributes to curriculum development in organic chemistry laboratories. His professional service includes roles on the ACS Committee for Professional Training and leadership in the San Joaquin Valley Local Section of the ACS.
