Huaping Liu is a Professor in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Oregon State University (College of Engineering). He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology (1997) and previously worked at Lucent Technologies (1997–2001). His research focuses on wireless communication systems, including MIMO systems, ultrawideband technologies, spread spectrum systems, and channel coding. He has contributed to applications in healthcare monitoring and industrial automation.
