Max Planck Institute for the Physics of Complex Systemsمعرفی
Huang, Yi-Ping is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at National Tsing-Hua University, Taiwan. He leads the Quantum Matter Theory Group and focuses on theoretical condensed matter physics, with interdisciplinary connections to high-energy physics and quantum information. His research explores non-equilibrium many-body effects in quantum magnets, topological phases, and correlated systems. He completed his Ph.D. at the University of Colorado Boulder (2012-2017) and held postdoctoral positions at the Paul Scherrer Institute (Switzerland) and the Max Planck Institute (Germany).
Education:
- Ph.D. in Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics, University of Colorado Boulder, USA (2012-2017)
- M.Sc. in Physics, University of Colorado Boulder, USA (2010-2012)
- B.Sc. in Physics, National Tsing-Hua University, Taiwan (2004-2008)
Research Interests:
Huang investigates quantum matter systems, including strongly correlated systems, quantum magnets, ultracold atoms, and disordered systems. His work bridges condensed matter theory with synthetic quantum matter and high-energy physics. Key themes include dynamical quantum phase transitions, topological phases, and many-body physics in non-equilibrium settings.
Publications:
His research has been published in top journals like Physical Review Letters and Physical Review B, focusing on topics such as quantum spin ice, vison zero modes, and fermionic dipolar gases.
Labs & Teams:
He leads the Quantum Matter Theory Group at NTHU, offering postdoc, Ph.D., and Master’s positions in correlated electron theory and topological phases.
