Hualin Zhang

Hualin Zhang is an Associate Professor of Clinical Radiation Oncology and Lead of Medical Physics Brachytherapy at the University of Southern California. He completed a medical physics residency at the University of Kentucky and holds a Ph.D. from Lanzhou Institute of Physics.

Research focuses on spatially fractionated radiation therapy (SFRT), brachytherapy, intraoperative radiation, and novel radiotherapy delivery systems. Innovations include GRID/LATTICE techniques for bulky tumors.

Publications emphasize dosimetry validation, clinical trial frameworks, and SFRT optimization. Recent work advances protocols for multi-institutional trials and technical implementations.
