Dr. d'Ailly's research program critically examines mathematics learning dynamics through intersecting lenses of motivation, cultural identity, and immigrant adaptation. Her work bridges quantitative methodologies in social statistics with qualitative explorations of self-identity formation, particularly investigating how cross-cultural transitions impact educational outcomes. This dual focus manifests in community-engaged scholarship addressing systemic barriers faced by immigrant populations.
Her grant-funded community initiatives include leadership roles in Canadian Heritage's 'Multiculturalism: Helping it Work' project and HRDC's 'New Comers Online' digital learning platform. Organizational leadership extends to former presidency of K-W Counseling Service (2005-2007), current board membership at the Center for Community Based Research, and vice-presidency of the Chinese Canadian Women’s Federation—demonstrating sustained commitment to translating academic expertise into tangible community impact.
