Howard Libov

Howard Libov is a Professor and Chair of the School of the Arts at Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU), where he also directs the MFA in Film program and the Film Production BA program. He holds a BFA from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, an MA in Communication and Education from Georgia State University, and a Film Directing Certificate from the American Film Institute.

His research focuses on narrative and documentary film production, with notable works including the feature films *Favorite Son* (streaming on Amazon Prime/Apple TV+), *Midnight Edition* (Best First Feature, Burgos), and the documentary series *Under the Radar* (featuring *Aglow* and *Fourteen Stations*). His short film *Men Will Be Boys* features acclaimed actors like Joel Murray and David Pasquesi.

Libov’s films have earned prestigious awards and festival recognitions, reflecting his expertise in cinematic storytelling. As an educator, he advises students in film production and screenwriting, shaping future filmmakers through rigorous academic and practical training.
