Hosseini Salekdeh is an Honorary Professor at Macquarie University's School of Natural Sciences and holds a Professorship at the Agricultural Biotechnology Research Institute of Iran (ABRII). His research focuses on proteomics, plant stress biology, stem cell research, and metagenomics. He has been awarded prestigious titles including the Khwarizmi International Award (2010) and Best National Researcher Award (2016).
