Horace G. Campbell

Horace G. Campbell is a Professor in the Department of African American Studies at Syracuse University. His research focuses on African political dynamics, U.S. foreign policy in Africa, Pan-Africanism, and postcolonial studies. He has held roles including Director of Graduate Studies and University Senate member, and has been a vocal critic of U.S. militarism in Africa through platforms like his work on AFRICOM and NATO interventions. Campbell's scholarship spans books such as Global NATO and the Catastrophic Failure in Libya and Barack Obama and 21st Century Politics, and his recent work addresses themes like the Bandung Conference legacy and China-Africa relations.
