Honorata Cybula

Honorata Cybula, Professor at the University of Warmia and Mazury (UWM), is a distinguished conductor, academic, and music educator. Affiliated with the Faculty of Art's Institute of Music since 2000, she specializes in choral conducting, vocal pedagogy, and musical interpretation.

• Education: J. Paderewski Music Academy in Poznań (1985, diploma with honors in conducting), habilitation in conducting vocal-instrumental groups (1999), and senior doctor lecturer degree in conducting (2011) from St. Moniuszko Music Academy in Gdańsk.

Her research focuses on the relationship between creative conception and artistic realization of musical works, conductor-choir communication, and vocal skill development in children. As an exponent of a cappella and choral music, she has conducted over 15 CD/DVD recordings, including Geistliche Music aus Polen (1998) and What a Wonderful World (2009), and performed internationally in 20+ countries. She has also coordinated seven Polish-German choral collaborations and ten editions of the Iławskie Spotkania Chóralne festival.
