Hongzhi (Veronica) Yang is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Sydney, Faculty of Education and Social Work. She coordinates languages curriculum units for primary and secondary teacher education programs and serves as Thesis Examination Coordinator.

Key theoretical frameworks include sociocultural theory and activity theory to analyze teacher agency, cognition, and professional development.
Scientific Contributions include 15+ publications from 2025 to 2010, with recent emphasis on GenAI integration (2025), AI feedback mechanisms (2024), and sociocultural frameworks for teacher dispositions (2023). Her work bridges pedagogical innovation with technological tools in diverse educational contexts.
