Dr. Hongsheng He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at The University of Alabama, College of Engineering. He is based in Cyber Hall and leads the Autonomous Robotics Laboratory, where he conducts cutting-edge research in intelligent robotics and machine learning. His work focuses on knowledge-driven machine intelligence that integrates planning, learning, and action for dexterous manipulation and autonomous navigation.
Dr. He earned his PhD in Computer Engineering from the National University of Singapore in 2012. His research is supported by funding from the NSF, NASA, Department of Transportation (DoT), and private industry. He is a senior member of IEEE and actively contributes to the robotics community through editorial roles in top-tier journals and conferences.
