Professor Honglin Chen is a prominent academic in language education and literacy development at the University of Wollongong, serving as Deputy Dean of Graduate Research in the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Sustainable Futures) and a faculty member in the School of Education. She holds a PhD in Language Education from La Trobe University (1998-2002) and is a Principal Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy.
