Honghua Hu

Dr. Honghua Hu is an Honorary Research Fellow at the Macquarie Medical School. She leads the Surgical Infection Research Group, focusing on bacterial biofilms and infection control in medical contexts. Her work spans biofilms in implants, hospital environments, chronic wounds, and their roles in diseases like breast implant-associated lymphoma and oral cancer. Dr. Hu holds a PhD in Molecular Microbiology from the University of Sydney (2005) and has extensive international collaborations and research projects funded by institutions like Sydney Vital.
