Hongfu Sun is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Engineering, University of Newcastle. His research focuses on innovating MRI mechanisms for clinical and research applications, particularly in Quantitative Susceptibility Mapping (QSM). He is internationally recognized as a pioneer in QSM and integrates MR physics, signal processing, and AI for medical imaging advancements. Sun holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Alberta, Canada.
