Hongchao Zeng

Hongchao Zeng is an Associate Professor of Finance and Director of the MS Finance Program at the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR), affiliated with the College of Business. He holds a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Alabama and an MBA/MSIS from Baylor University.

His research focuses on corporate finance, market microstructure, mortgage markets, and corporate governance. Specific interests include intraday trading dynamics, liquidity constraints in emerging markets, interest rate policy impacts on mortgages, and ethical challenges in corporate decision-making.

Zeng's work has appeared in journals such as the International Review of Finance, Real Estate Economics, Pacific-Basin Finance Journal, and Journal of Business Research. His studies explore topics like price discovery in bond markets, takeover protections, and diversity's role in boardroom transparency.
