Hong Qin is an Associate Professor at Old Dominion University (ODU), specializing in interdisciplinary research at the intersection of artificial intelligence, bioinformatics, and public health. His work focuses on developing machine learning models for healthcare diagnostics, pandemic forecasting, and computational biology. Qin’s research integrates deep learning, federated learning, and explainable AI to address challenges in disease detection, aging mechanisms, and urban environmental analysis.
