Holly Tabernik

Holly Tabernik is an Associate Professor at the Medical College of Georgia, affiliated with the Department of Psychiatry and Health Behavior. Additionally, she serves as a Licensed Psychologist on an inpatient forensic ward at East Central Regional Hospital (ECRH).

Dr. Tabernik’s research focuses on high-impact areas in forensic and clinical psychology, including:

• Malingering
• Borderline Personality Disorder
• Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
• Competency to Stand Trial

Her teaching emphasizes intersections between psychology, law, and clinical practice, covering courses in Abnormal Psychology, Personality Assessment, and Psychopathology. She completed a predoctoral internship at Fulton State Hospital with rotations in Forensic Evaluations and DBT, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship in Forensic Psychology through Augusta University and East Central Regional Hospital.
