Holly Sutton

Holly Sutton is a Lecturer in the Theatre Design/Technology program at the Conservatory of Theatre Arts, Purchase College. With over 25 years of professional experience in theatre management, she brings extensive industry expertise to her academic role, having worked on major Broadway, Off-Broadway, and touring productions.

Education:

• BFA in Theatre Arts Management, Ithaca College (1991)

Holly's research and professional interests focus on theatre production management, arts administration, and equity, diversity, and inclusion in the performing arts. Her work bridges practical industry experience with academic instruction, emphasizing project management and organizational leadership in theatrical contexts.

Her professional career highlights include work on Tony Award-winning productions such as Dear Evan Hansen, Wicked, and Peter and the Starcatcher, as well as significant roles in shows like Sunday in the Park with George, If/Then, and national tours of Cats and The Sound of Music.
