Holly Rhiannion Hawk is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the School of Accountancy within the Wilbur O. and Ann Powers College of Business at Clemson University. She holds certifications as a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) and CGMA (Chartered Global Management Accountant).

Hawk’s research focuses on teaching and learning pedagogy, particularly the integration of higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) and data analytics into accounting education. Her work also addresses the role of artificial intelligence and information systems controls in modernizing accounting curricula and assessments.
Her recent publications examine the potential of ChatGPT in accounting education and frameworks for enhancing critical thinking through IT general controls evaluation. These works highlight trends in AI-driven educational tools, curriculum innovation, and technology assessment in accounting pedagogy.
