Holly Jones is a Research Fellow in Communities and Societies and PhD Student in Mental Health and Wellbeing at the University of Nottingham's Rights Lab. Her work bridges academic research with practical applications in survivor care and community development.
- Embedded researcher with City Hearts on modern slavery survivor support
- Supervised by Dr Nicola Wright, Dr Andrea Nicholson, Professor Kevin Bales, and Phill Clayton
- Member of the Rights Lab’s Health and Communities Programme
Research Focus: Investigates critical evidence gaps in modern slavery survivor support systems, particularly examining:
- Dependents' support needs and policy implications
- Role of online social spaces in modern slavery facilitation
- Environmental factors affecting survivor trauma
Professional Experience: Former Regional Service Manager in NRM sub-contractor with expertise in:
- Trauma-informed survivor care
- Training program development
- Community and sustainability projects across UK, Sri Lanka, and Uganda
Scientific Awards:
- ESRC Studentship recipient
Collaborations: Currently working with Dr Ben Brewster on digital aspects of modern slavery, while maintaining extensive experience in survivor care systems.
